One of the footballers greatly pursued by Manchester City this summer is England’s Raheem
Sterling who is currently playing for Liverpool, can play as a midfielder, striker, and winger. Being only 20 years old, Sterling who was part of the shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year award was Liverpool’s only silver lining in a disappointing season. Manchester City have not kept it a secret that they are very interested in the player.
However, Liverpool are asking for £50m. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
The Juventus midfielder is rumored to be pursued by Manchester City. Having EPL experience as a youngster with city rivals Manchester United, Paul Pogba, 22, is considered by City as the successor of Yaya Toure in City’s midfield. However
his price could go as high as £100m which might be expensive even for the oil rich owners of Manchester City.
Kevin de Bruyne
Another rumored player chased by Manchester City is the Belgian winger from Wolfsburg, Kevin de Bruyne. After having a stellar performance in Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, City is willing to bring de Bruyne back to the English Premier League this 2015-2016 season.
Having Sterling and de Bruyne play on both sides of the wing will indeed improve City’s attacking power and give them some much needed fresh ideas.
Jack Wilshere is said to be a transfer target for Manchester City if they fail to acquire Paul Pogba. Wilshere would be a great addition to the Manchester City midfield and would also help them with their homegrown status. However will Wenger let the midfielder go is a separate question all together.
