- Adjustment Time is Over for Van Gaal
For a first time manager in the EPL, Van Gaal had a relatively successful first season.
He is often described as a manager that is full of charisma and command. Finishing fourth after a grueling turnover season from Moyes, Van Gaal instantly adapted to Manchester United’s players as well as to the league’s system. With his philosophy of dividing the phases of the offense and the defense, his players and pundits praised him.
(Not to mention the high praises that he had from Ajax and Barca superstars like Xavi).
Now that his adjustment season is over Van Gaal will surely bring the Red Devils to another title to add to their trophy cabinet.
- Renewed Vigor
Not playing in the Champion’s League last season opened the eyes of the Manchester United players and must have hurt their ego. This left a strong impact with them and gave them renewed vigor to return to the top 4 and book a place in this seasons Champions League.
The Red Devils have something to prove this season: That they are still worthy of being called the kings of Manchester and that they can still win the EPL. This vigor will indeed bring Manchester United the title that they lost for two years.
- New Faces – New Signings
It is true that when experienced Manchester United players like Nemjada Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, and Ryan Giggs left the team there was a massive hole to fill.
These players had been the backbone of United for many years and were the foundation on which many title-winning seasons were built. It was hard for the management to fill all the gaps last season. But new faces like Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Angel Di Maria Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera made some progress and helped Manchester United qualify for the Champions league again. Now going into their second seasons at the club these players are expected to perform even better.
And oh, Manchester United just signed Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin this summer.
