Liverpool ready for first test of the season

Playing stoke is never easy especially at the Britannia Stadium and keeping in mind Liverpool’s last result there, Stoke might once again surprise a few. Liverpool were great in pre-season, they played beautiful football and were able to finish it unbeaten. Losing your captain plus another star player is never easy however Liverpool proved their critics wrong with their performances in pre-season.

The first question in the summer was who will be signed to replace Raheem Sterling commonly known as “Rat” nowadays, well Liverpool have not felt the need to sign anyone to replace him as youngster Jordan Ibe has been tremendous since he was recalled by Rodgers last season. Ibe continued with his performances in the pre-season and Liverpool fans have really started loving him for his attitude.

Personally, I’m very excited and cannot wait for the season to kick off. There are many players who can be stars for Liverpool this season, new signing Roberto Firmino is a great talent. I watched all his games for Brazil in the Copa America and his style is perfect for the way Liverpool play. Brazil legend Ronaldinho also said that Liverpool fan can expect a lot of goals when Coutinho the Magician and Firmino play together. Both of them will look to feed the Belgian beast, Christian Benteke. Benteke proved his critics, who said that his style does not suit Liverpool’s game, wrong by scoring an absolute screamer of a goal on his Liverpool debut. I cannot wait to see him owning the Stoke defenders on his BPL debut for Liverpool and once Sturridge is back they will definitely form one of the most lethal partnerships in the BPL.

No words needed to describe James Milner or Phillippe Coutinho. BPL fans know how good both of them are, one never gets tired and the other never fails to amaze us. Add to that Jordan Henderson, who has become the clubs most important player over the last two seasons, and Liverpool have a midfield to look out for.

Liverpool’s squad is definitely better than the one they had last year, players who were signed last season but failed to adapt are also likely to be much better this season as the first season is always difficult at a new club. Liverpool will definitely give a tough time to each and every team, even the big guns like Chelsea and Man City. Liverpool mean business this time and the fans demand real business. Now let’s wait till Sunday and hope for a great season ahead.
