ManUtd Players and Coach Want Chicharito to Stay
Coming back from the Real Madrid loan, there are a lot of Manchester United players that want Chicharito Hernandez to stay in Manchester United this season. One of these players is the Spaniard, Juan Mata. Mata wants the Mexican to stay in Old Trafford and told the press that “he has scored goals in every team he has played in and is a very smart striker.” Mata’s opinion definitely matters and it may be one of the reasons that Van Gaal will consider in letting Chicharito stay. News out today also indicated that Van Gaal has said that Chicharito is part of his plans for the next season and is next in line behind Wayne Rooney as a strike option at the club.
Awesome La Liga Performance
Van Gaal might want to reconsider his decision in letting Chicharito go because of how he performed in Real Madrid. Having 23 appearances in La Liga for Real Madrid last season, the Mexican striker scored 7 goals. Considering that he was often used as a late substitute his performance is quite stellar. Chicharito even left a mark as a Real on-loan player after scoring a crucial winning goal against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champion’s League which was the reason why Real Madrid advanced to the semi-finals.
Exodus of Strikers
This summer, two Manchester United strikers left Old Trafford. First, Van Persie left United for Fenerbahce and unsurprisingly, Radamel Falcao’s loan was not extended. Not to mention Welbeck’s move to Arsenal during the previous season. Because of the movement of United’s strikers, it would seem that Chicharito is a player that United should keep. Having little options upfront, this is the chance for Chicharito to shine once again in a Red jersey.
