Liverpool ready for home opener

Liverpool is religion and Anfield is the place of our worship. On Monday night Liverpool will play their first home match of the 2015-16 season against newly promoted Bournemouth. No other game could have been a better game for Liverpool to kick start their season in the right way by treating their fans with a big win. The Anfield faithful have waited the entire summer to watch their team play once again at their beloved second home.

This is a great opportunity for all the attackers who were signed in the summer transfer window. Benteke and Firmino played their parts at the Britannia Stadium but could not get on the score sheet. Both of them along with Dany Ings will try to get their first Liverpool goals. Firmino came on late in the last match but he looked very sharp and full of trickery. The Brazilian samba was there to be seen when he came on , Benteke’s movement was good but was not enough to cause much problem to Stoke’s defense and Dany Ings did not come off the bench.

Experts believe that Firmino will start along with Coutinho in the next game and Lallana will be benched. Ings will probably come on in the second half. Liverpool have tough matches ahead so they can not afford to give away points in matches against the smaller teams like Bournemouth . Last season Liverpool finished sixth and Spurs were fifth only because of a better goal difference. Liverpool need to score maximum goals against these small teams and make sure that they keep a clean sheet , hopefully by the end of season they will end up in a better position than they did last year.
