Manchester City Ready for the big game

It’s a big clash. Maybe one of the biggest of the seasons and it’s come very quickly. The defending champions Chelsea face their greatest competition Manchester City. A dominant showing at WBA was the perfect platform for City to launch the season and a win at Chelsea would be a great push forward. It’s a 38 game season but if you put distance in at the start you have a much better chance in the marathon.
Chelsea looked weak in the first match. Not the greatest of defending combined with an ineffective Fabregas who it seems thinks January is already upon us if you look at his playing form. Add to that an attack of an ordinary Remy, an extremely out form and near useless falcao and an almost permanently injured Costa you would think Chelsea couldn’t be any worse set for the match. And then you pile that with Courtious being suspended and you feel that it is as low as Chelsea can go.
On the flip side the city defence looks tight. Mangala looks to have finally settled in and if his debut was anything to go by Costa should be in his pocket. Kompany made a point of pricing himself to his critics with the celebration against WBA. Toure is back to his good destructive best and Silva is in sublime form, a magician, city’s very own Merlin. Put Aguero in the mix and throw in Sterling’s searing pace and you have all the ingredients to not just beat but thoroughly out do Chelsea.
A great match beckons and it’s all pointing to a city win.
