Chelsea look to climb up the premier league table

By Shaukat Hamdani

Chelsea will be looking to continue their climb of the Premier league table after a rough start, as they take on local rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday. Currently Palace are two points and five places above Chelsea but that should change as early as Saturday night.

I fully expect Chelsea to blow away Palace and finally announce their arrival in the league title race at Stamford Bridge. What I cannot wait for is to watch the link up play between Eden Hazard and Pedro now that the new Spaniard has had a whole full week of training with the team. The two linked up in the previous game for Pedro’s debut goal and the partnership can only get better with time.

This partnership should also allow Hazard to get out of his recent slump and hit the heights he hit last year on his way to the player of the year award. As Thibaut Courtois put it, Pedro’s arrival will only help Hazard get better.

While talking to the Evening Standard the Chelsea goalkeeper explained that after last years exploits defenders had started marking Hazard more strictly. With Pedro’s arrival the defenders will have to keep an eye on the other wing also. Because if they mark one wing too strictly there will be space created on the other one.

I just hope our defense sorts itself out though and that we end the game with 11 players still on the pitch.

Moving on to transfer news I am so glad we are finishing our interest in John Stones. Yes he is a good player and he is young so he can develop into something special. But the figures being reported about the bids Chelsea were making, were just insane. However I would love for Pogba to come and play for Chelsea. But with Juventus losing out on so many players this transfer window I highly doubt that the transfer will happen.

But no worries.

Keep the Blue Flag flying high!!!
