Chelsea host Bournemouth on Saturday and this game can already be billed a must win. This is because in the past few matches they have built some momentum and to keep the momentum going the blues need to win against the premier league newcomers.
Chelsea are now unbeaten in 3 with 3 clean sheets so it seems like the defensive solidarity and confidence of the team is coming back. Now they need their attackers to return to form also. It will be interesting to see how the bib incident effects Costa’s involvement in the game but even if Mourinho does not start the Spanish striker, Chelsea should win the game.
However I feel like barring a late injury, Costa will start the game. Mourinho dropped him in the last game and Costa must know that he has to prove his worth now. Being the fighter Costa is, he should come out punching now and Mourinho will know that.
For all the criticism that was laid onto Ivanovic at the start of the season, it’s his return that has coincided with the renewed defensive grit and determination.
Chelsea know a win is essential to make momentum into a week which involves hosting Porto in a game that will decide the European future of the London team and also a game against high flying Leicester City at the end of the week.
So as always
KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH
