City leave it late to beat Swansea

Rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of City players. Although it looked as if it did for a moment but every now and then they find someone to get them three points. And again it was a Mouse versus an Elephant situation when they found Swansea up against them.

The game started in a lively manner as clear cut chances fell both ways and anyone could have got the lead but it was City in the 24th minute who took advantage. Navas curling the corner kick brilliantly for Wilfried Bony who blasted his header home in a prolific fashion and didn’t celebrate much after scoring against his former club.

It was end to end stuff till the very end of the game. City had 5 shots on target compared to Swansea’s 7 on target. A good tally for a side playing away from home without a proper manager as Monk was recently sacked.

Gomis scored in the 90th minute through a sumptuous through ball from Fernandez. But right away after that celebrations turned into pain as Ihaenacho got a huge deflection of Yaya Toure’s shot to get City the deciding goal of the match.
