Everybody asks “can they do it on a rainy day in stoke”. It looks like though that unfortunately Stoke can’t do it at Leicester. Stoke were rampant and were beating big boys emphatically. The recent Stoke displays were entertaining and purposeful.
Bojan, Shaqiri and Aranautovic were on song this season. But the Leicester job proved to be too much for them. There are no signs of Leicester stopping anywhere this season. There are fighting toe to toe with Arsenal over the title. Leaving pundits and fans alike baffled beyond belief.
Danny Drinkwater opened the scoring in the 41st minute. Stoke despite having a lot of possession had just 3 shots on target. While Leicester despite lower possession created a bunch of chances as they had 5 shots on target.
Vardy finally scored in the 66th minute after a short dry spell through a Drinkwater assist. Ulloa finished off the game in 87th minute through yet another magical Mahrez’s pass.
Leicester move top of the table with 47 points ahead of City and Arsenal. Both city and Arsenal at the moment have 44 points.
Leicester look unstoppable in this form and given the unpredictability of this season. No one can say for sure who will win the league but if Leicester do it then considering how they have played so far it will be no less then they deserved. Even if it is the biggest Cinderella story the premier league has ever seen.
