After a happy week for the fans and players due to announcement of their new manager Guardiola, City needed more good news in terms of stability in results.
City were infected by their boring neighbors and that infection was extremely dangerous as it was proving costly. They were becoming inconsistent and were losing form. Yes the city might be divided but they still share the contagious diseases.
City just needed to get over the line. They just needed a result that ensured three points in the bag. Playing away from home and not being in form was a real concern for them.
The 1-0 victory over sunderland was justwhat they needed. The only goal of the game was scored by Argentinian Kün Aguero in the 16th minute. Navas drilled in a cross which left John O’Shea confused and stunned as Aguero put the ball past the keeper into the net.
City took a sigh of relief as the final whistle blew. Not the performance that is demanded of them but surely the result. City are now 2nd on the table with 47 points chasing Leicester to the brink. As they are not ready to go down without a fight as the race for the premier league title intensifies.
