Liverpool Thriving with Consistency

How can you explain Liverpool’s season better than this? When there was no other big name to get injured the manager himself had to miss a game due to a minor injury.

Because of this sad news Liverpool players wanted to send their regards to their manager by showing how consistent they can be. So as per their commitment they held themselves to a 2-2 draw against Sunderland.

Most importantly the Scousers did it in style. They were winning by 2-0 and they showed Klopp that they can win the game easily but they wanted to show what Liverpool really is about i.e. throwing games away and points.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring with a sumptuous header in the far corner after he was supplied by James Milner from the left wing. Later on Firmino took advantage of some careless and scratchy defending by Sunderland and supplied Adam Lallana with a simple tap in.

In the 77th minute with the team 2-0 up fans walked out of the stadium to protest the owners who blatantly said that they want to convert fans into costumers. The game changed after that. It seemed like with the fans the players also walked out. Adam Johnson scored a brilliant free kick to which Mignolet had no chance for and later Defoe equalized to make it miserable for the Reds. Liverpool are now 9th in the table.
