What a debut for Pep Guardiola! After spending zillions to improve a squad that is already one of the most expensive squads in history, his team managed to get a brilliant win right at the end in a tough encounter with … Sunderland. LOL. Seriously, how can you have such players and struggle to create anything against one of the worst teams in the league at home?
The only reason Man City won is that the Black Cats are just so bad. A stupid penalty and a hilarious own goal were required to beat them. With all the talent at their disposal, City were just so bad. I almost fell asleep watching them keep 80% possession while their defenders were just playing the ball at the back. No purpose, no penetration, nothing.
I am seriously considering not watching City again this season as they were so utterly boring! But that’s to be expected by a team that uses Clichy and Sagna as midfielders when having the ball. Some people calling it innovation, I think it’s just bullshit.
Guardiola almost started with an embarrassment and it seems the EPL won’t give him a warm welcome. Sunderland were too poor to take something, but many other teams will capitalize on the ridiculous tactics. I can’t wait to see the likes of West Ham, Stoke and Everton play against Manchester City!
