Chelsea put a miserable September behind them as Conte’s Men defeated Hull City 2-0 as soon as the month ended.
It was set up to be a cracker of a game because both teams had been on a winless streak. Both teams must have been relieved that they were facing another team in a slump.
But by the end of it it was only Chelsea who were happy courtesy Willian and Diego Costa as last years relegation survivors ended up winning 2-0.
Conte’s men came into the ground with a very aggressive mindset but still it was the hosts who made the brighter start and they were all over Chelsea in the first 30 minutes. Thibaut Courtois had to make some outstanding saves to avoid going a goal behind but two goals in the passage of only 7 minutes destroyed the hopes of Hull City.
Chelsea are currently within touching distance of Europe, which must be a great relief for their fans.
